You buried the lede!

"Adding sugar to the diet from one serving per day of snacks (cake, cookies, candy, chocolate, etc.) or toppings (jam, syrup, honey, etc.) reduces premature death by 20% or 10%"

Yup! Unfortunately, the benefits don’t continue to increase after that first small portion.
